The Accessibility-Inclusion Task Force was formed in July after being selected as one of 10 Unitarian Universalist Churches across the United States to pilot a two year program “Disability/Ability Action.”
The Disability/Ability Action Plan entails completing an assessment of accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities at UUCB. The committee needs to complete a worship service, several workshop and projects to become an Disability/Ability Action Certified Congregation. Being a Disability/Ability certify church would be quite an honor and asset for the UUCB community We have introduce the Disability/Ability Action Plan at a worship service on November 10th. The committee also presented the first workshop ‘Introduction to Disability Work’ to some of the RE teachers.
